19th February 1791. Sam Dodman's Diary Entry.
Today I received a message from the Americas. Cousin George (Washington) has asked me to visit him and take my new Britches (Breeches) with me!
As I received them on 14th February from an unknown donor; I now know who arranged for me to receive them.
I will go as he requests. From London I can board a ship heading for the Canada's. From there I will need to head South and hope that I will be allowed to pass through the new rebel border.
I will take Georges letter with me, in case there is a problem, although he does ask that I tell no one!
